The Los Angeles Rams had a surprisingly successful season in 2023, going 10-7 and making the playoffs after starting the year 3-6 in their first 9 games. For a team that was widely expected to miss the playoffs amid a roster rebuild, their postseason appearance was a big accomplishment for Sean McVay’s squad.
Now, the Rams head into the 2024 season looking like legitimate contenders in the NFC with Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams leading the way on offense. The defense will be without Aaron Donald after he retired from the NFL this offseason, but their additions of Jared Verse and Braden Fiske in the draft will help along the defensive line.

In McVay’s 7 seasons as L.A.’s coach, it has only finished with fewer than 9 wins once. That was in 2022 when Donald, Stafford and Kupp all missed significant time, resulting in a 5-12 season.
The Rams’ 2024 schedule isn’t easy, but it’s easy to find 9 wins with teams such as the Cardinals (twice), Patriots, Bears, Raiders and Saints on the docket.
BET OVER 8.5 (-125), even laying the juice of -125. If healthy, the Rams could easily win 10-plus games.
Rams Super Bowl odds

There are 12 teams with better Super Bowl odds than the Rams next season, putting Los Angeles around the middle of the pack. The loss of Donald certainly hurts, but the Rams reloaded this offseason by signing a stud guard in Jonah Jackson and also by bringing back guard Kevin Dotson to play alongside center Steve Avila.
Their implied probability of winning the Super Bowl is only 3.23%, but this is a team that has reached the big game twice since the 2018 season, winning it once. As long as McVay is the coach in Los Angeles, the Rams are going to have a fighting chance to at least reach the Super Bowl.
At +3000, the Rams are worth a small wager to win it all.
Will Rams make the playoffs?

This feels like an even better value than taking the Rams to win over 8.5 games. If they finish 9-8, there’s a good chance they’re going to make the playoffs anyway.
There are only 5 NFC teams with better Super Bowl odds than the Rams in 2024, so it’s not exactly a loaded conference. With 7 playoff berths available in the NFC, the Rams have almost a 50-50 chance to make the postseason to begin with, and there are some bad, bottom-feeding teams in the conference who have no shot of making it.

The 49ers and Rams are the clear top 2 in the NFC West, with the Seahawks and Cardinals behind them. It’s actually a very good division for quarterback play, which should keep it competitive, but the 49ers undoubtedly have the most talent. They also have the toughest schedule, which could keep the Rams in the mix for a division title.
A half-unit wager on the Rams to win the division at +375 is worth making.

Rams’ odds to win NFC
- +1400 (bet $100 to win $1,400)
If you’re already betting the Rams to win the NFC West, they’ll have a decent chance to also win the conference and reach the Super Bowl because they’ll have home-field advantage in the event that they have to face the 49ers in the postseason.
It’s also considerably safer than taking them to win the Super Bowl and beat a team like the Kansas City Chiefs or Baltimore Ravens in February.
Their conference title odds are the 6th-best of any team in the NFC, tied with the Atlanta Falcons. BET RAMS (+1400) to win the NFC and reach the Super Bowl.
