I honestly really like my school. I think most people don’t like MRHS and I can totally see why but it’s not the worst school in existence

I was an ambitious student and enjoyed it overall. If you want to take academics seriously they have good specialized programs. The food and overall state of the school was pretty poor. Athletics was mid as it is a small town and hard to recruit anyone being a public school but I know people who still were able to continue sports in college. Students are awful though, like either nerds or straight delinquents no in between.

I had the best school districts growing up. All of the staff was wonderful, there were many opportunities to find your group and be able to be involved in activities. It overall was nice to be able to experience a close to perfect upbringing.

My school has brought me so many opportunities. Cheer and volleyball were my favorite sports activity. Helping out the special needs kids also were a bonus!

During my time here I met such wonderful friends that I still talk to. I had lots of teachers I adored, teachers that made me feel accepted and loved. Teachers gave me the actual motivation to get my grades straight.

Matawan has provided a nurturing outlet for me to grow as both an academic and human. Accademically, I was challenged with Advanced Placement courses as well as "college-like teachers." Due to these attributes, I now feel ready to excel in college due to the skill set I have adapted from Matawan. In addition, I was able to grow as a person, because of the chances I was given to find/establish a community. WIth a variety of clubs and activities to join, I was able to do what I loved outside of school (ex: volunteering, art, academics) as well as meet others who felt the same. This allows me to create life-long friends and relationships.

They seem to handle situations well and I am always able to get the help I need when I ask. The school isn’t too small but not too big so you get to know a lot of people. They have so many after school activities to choose from and they even help you with your volunteer work. I had a good time at this school.

The teachers are most often wonderful. There are a few that aren't so great, but its often rare. The ciriculum can have some improvements. Overall, the school district ranges. It is a mix between good and bad. There is always room for improvement. Its a safe town, safe district. I reccomend.

I've been in this school for 1 year. I'm a senior that has seen that this high school is preparing all of their students for the real world. they don't make it feel like just another day of school but the steps before adult hood. they teach stocks, entrepreneurship and more thigs that other schools don't teach but is helpful to know. the teachers have a understanding bond with each student on how the teachers honestly want to set the student up to be prepared for the real world. they don't treat it like a job, they treat the students with the respect as their own peers. what I've learned from stocks is that its pretty simple but a lot people don't look into or don't know where or how to look into. but the school breaks it down causing it to sound very simple to do and understand. now that I've learned it, I'm able to teach my family so we could all look into it. in the end of January well look into entrepreneurship and learn about business starting and running a business.

I can say enough about this school. I have made lifelong friends here. The staff, theater and sports programs are wonderful. I have joined the theater group as well as the dance team for this school. Participating in these programs helped me grow as a person that I will be able to take with me to college.

My experience attending this school as a POC has been very good. The school is very diverse and I felt really comfortable in this school. Rules are very set in stone and everyone gets along pretty well. What I would like to see change about this school is the lack of school trips. I feel like Matawan has missed up so many opportunities to take their students somewhere that would be beneficial for our education and what we're learning in school.

MARSD is an excellent school district with a very good curriculum.
The teachers are excellent!
I would just see administration do more in terms of support services such as bussing and such.

I liked the sports and the academs, how competitive the school was. I liked how everyone wanted to be the best and no one would give an inch and never give up.

I had a great experience in the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District but the one thing that I would like to see change in this district is that the staff become more diverse as the student population. For the twelve years that I have been in this school district there is a very small number of African American or minority teachers that work in this district.
