RHONJ Recap: Rachel Calls Teresa a Stupid B**tch and Brings Up Her Stint in Prison Amid Heated Exchange, and Danielle Questions Jen & Teresa, Plus Teresa Follows Jackie and Jackie Defends Friendship With Teresa and Margaret Worries Over Marriage (1)

On this episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a boujie brunch goes south when Rachel lets loose on Teresa. It was only a matter of time before all of the issues within this group boiled over. It is interesting to watch the alliances change and the memories be erased. Melissa and Jennifer? Sure, let’s move on. Jackie, Teresa, and Jen Aydin? Meet the new besties. Anything can happen when these ladies get together…

Dolores heads to a steakhouse to meet with her kids… and Frank. They’ve been having family dinners like this for the last 30 years. Frank orders a green apple martini, and Dolores talks about where to settle down with Paulie if he ever finalizes his divorce. Right now, Dolores’ kids live in her house, with their six dogs, and so she is looking forward to making moves once Paulie proposes should the time ever come.

Speaking of proposing, Frank shows the 11-carat ring he purchased for Brittany, and we hear some of the details of how he plans to ask her. Frank then practices the proposal with Dolores, so all of the patrons in the restaurant think THEY’RE the newly engaged couple (#awkward), but also good, clean fun.

Another segment without drama and fighting is when Rachel, Melissa, and Danielle get together for a mother/son outing. When the moms steal a second to sit and chat, Danielle invites them to the Boujie Kids fashion show at NYFW. Melissa has been a cheerleader of her brand, so Danielle feels she is deserving of the invite.

Because not everyone can come to the fashion show, Danielle talks about throwing a boujie brunch. She plans on inviting ALL of the ladies and is hopeful they can all get along. Melissa shares that she is actually going to lunch with Jen Aydin, and she wonders if they can finally figure out why Jen is still harboring hate toward her. We all know it probably comes down to Jen’s loyalty to Teresa, but Melissa points out that even though she has beef with Tre, she always wants her kids to have that connection with their aunt. Danielle jumps on this and gets emotional about her dad always taking her brother’s side. Melissa states that she wishes she still had her dad to this day, but she does understand the anger Danielle is feeling. Family is a touchy thing.

Jennifer needs some pampering after the softball game, especially after Bill acted “disrespectful” by being kind to Joe Gorga. That’s her reasoning. Teresa joins Jennifer for a facial, and they discuss how they hope Jackie is starting to see Margaret for who she is. They decide to call Jackie up and check on her after Marge came for her at the softball game. It’s very clear what Jen and Tre are trying to do with Jackie, and Jackie is seemingly falling in line with them. According to Jackie, she feels like she is a low priority for Margaret, and now she is ready to stand on her own feet. She feels stronger and better knowing she has Tre and Jen, who really want to be her friends. After the phone call, Teresa re-follows Jackie on social media, proving that the tides are turning.

In the meantime, we learn that Marge Sr. has achalasia and is recovering from surgery at Margaret‘s house. Margaret talks about the baseball game and focuses on the Jackie confrontation. Marge feels like she defends Jackie 99.9% of the time, but Jackie hasn’t called or checked in with her. Margaret is still reeling over the fact that Jackie didn’t even know it was the one-year anniversary of Jan’s death. Is Jackie a true friend?

Teresa appears to be in the dark about Danielle’s big NYFW show. It’s a good thing she shows up at Danielle’s house with tequila. Danielle taps right into it to clearly alleviate her stress. Danielle whips out some of the clothes from her Boujie Kids line to show Teresa, and she nearly passes out when Teresa calls an outfit “basic.” Danielle feels like Teresa doesn’t need to know she invited Melissa to fashion week, but she does invite Teresa, and allll the girls, to her boujie brunch. Of course, Teresa is thrilled to know that Marge won’t be in attendance.

While she has Teresa there alone, Danielle asks her about Jen “impersonating” her. Danielle is kinda tired of Jen’s BS, especially after last season. Danielle still feels set up by Jen about the Melisa cheating rumors. She doesn’t like being Jen’s voice and is catching on to the way she rolls.

Later, Melissa has her sit down with Jen in an attempt to clear the air. Melissa wonders why Jen felt the need to stir the pot by bringing up old rumors last season, but Jen claims that Danielle “pressured” her to talk about it, but she didn’t spread it. Melissa feels like Jen wanted to embarrass her, and Jen admits that Melissa was collateral damage since she was really going after Marge.

Melissa feels like Jen has a “hard-on” for Joe, and Jen scoffs at this, calling it more of a “limp d*ck.” Melissa realizes that extending the olive branch to Bill and not to Jen could hurt Jen’s feelings. Melissa is now more sensitive about liking Bill more than Jen (lol), and Jen apologizes for the whole Danielle thing. Jen feels like she can move on with Melissa, even though Teresa is one of her best friends.

Jen Fessler and Melissa pay a visit to Margaret. Marge talks about how “fragile” she is since Jan has died. She admits that her marriage was better when Jan was alive because everything was “complete.” Margaret feels like Joe doesn’t know how to handle her grieving and that she has been more difficult lately.

Jen points out that Jackie values being included by people who don’t care about her, and Melissa fills the ladies in on her lunch with Jen. She shares that Jen was really going after Margaret, but things ended on a more positive note.

It’s the day of Danielle’s Boujie Brunch — any excuse to dress like boujie princesses, glittery outfits and all. Everyone gets a “boujie mama set” to take home. Dolores talks about Frank fake proposing, and then the convo turns to Paulie and his divorce. Dolores would def accept a proposal from Frank, but she doesn’t want to force it.

Danielle takes this as an opportunity to address the situation with Lina, the hairdresser, who was at Jen’s dog party. Danielle wonders why this group allowed Lina to talk sh*t about her. No doubt Jen throws Lina RIGHT under the bus, even though it was Jen who set Lina up to talk.

Danielle also points out that Jen Fessler said Jen was mocking her. Jen admits that she was “mimicking her,” and she calls herself transparent but loyal. Danielle then asks Jen and Teresa outright if they set Danielle up last season. Teresa is aghast that she is involved in this and feels like Danielle has “little birdies” in her ears. Teresa then calls Marge “the root of all evil.”

Teresa comes in hot, telling Jackie that Margaret doesn’t care about her, and Melissa tells Jackie not to listen. Jackie doesn’t want to be on anyone’s side — while neutrally being on Teresa’s, obviously.

Since the whole brunch has already gone to hell, what’s one more fight to bring up at this point?! Danielle asks if Tre and Rachel have squashed their issues, and Teresa clarifies that John is not presently the biggest drug dealer. Rachel didn’t like how Teresa’s intention was to make John look bad, and she points in Teresa’s face, poking the bear.

Rachel taunts that Louie has more exes talking sh*t about him than John does, and Teresa calls John a “parking attendant.” When Rachel jokingly agrees, Teresa states that maybe John SHOULD be a drug dealer since he would make more money. This sets Rachel OFF. Rachel says that Teresa went to prison as a woman and has come back to do what exactly? Rachel calls Teresa an old, stupid has-been and refers to Teresa as a bully. Rachel points out that Teresa picked on Jackie’s marriage, and Jackie then denies being mad about that whole thing.

Melissa can’t hold her tongue any longer and reminds Jackie how upset she was during those times. Danielle calls this comical, and Jackie freaks out, claiming she isn’t holding on to past things with Teresa. After all is said and done, Teresa leaves with her goodie bag, and Dolores warns Rachel that the exchange with Teresa will “fester.” Rachel calls Teresa incompetent and emotionally stupid. According to Dolores, Rachel should sleep with one eye open.
